Xavier Polycarpe

Xavier Polycarpe is a singer, songwriter, and composer from Paris, France that masterfully captures human emotion and channels it into an eclectic pop-dance style that has defined his career. In 2004, Xavier, along with his brother, Vincent, formed the French rock band “Gush” alongside Mathiu Parnaud, Yan Gorodetsky, and Julien Boyé. Drawing influence from iconic bands such as The Beatles and Beach Boys, the group also looks to film composers who have respected experience in evoking human emotion.

After numerous international tours and album releases, the musician later partnered with Vincent Brulin to form Maradam Crocodile, an electro-disco duo dedicated to unleashing a wild and frenetic energy in dance music.

In years of collaborations, Xavier now aims towards analyzing the expression of music and its relationship with oneself in releasing his own projects.

Minute marks the artist's debut studio recorded solo project under his own name. The pop-dance project implants the idea of keeping spirits high in tough times and using challenge as a fuel for growth and perspective. Accepting that there’s no such thing as a straightforward path, the album contains uplifting elements that highlight beauty within failure.
