As a dedicated student journalist at the University of Central Florida, my passion for storytelling naturally extends into my ambition to work within the music industry. Currently, I serve as a summer intern for Pulp City Magazine, where I develop editorial content centered around Orlando's local music and creative scene, alongside my role as Director of Editorial for Pegasus Music Group, where I developed and manage a newsletter and radio podcast concept set to launch during the Fall semester.
Outside of professional and academic work, I run JaviRadio, a platform where I explore curiosities surrounding the music industry though commentary, discussions, and social content focused on music culture and trends.
My experience has also included serving as an A&R Marketing Intern for LucasFloodPresents in Los Angeles, where I pitched artists weekly to executives, conducted trend analysis and market research, and assisted in booking emerging talent for performances at The Hotel Cafe.
Additionally, as a Contributing Music Journalist for In The Loop Magazine, I've published stories spotlighting the music scene in Chicago through artists features, editorial discussions, and event coverage.
As an A&R/Marketing Assistant at LucasFloodPresents in Los Angeles, I worked closely with emerging artists and industry professionals while gaining hands-on experience in artist development and music marketing. My role focused on researching up-and-coming artists, analyzing current music trends, and crafting weekly pitches to executives in order to book the artists a spot to perform at The Hotel Cafe venue.
